Job summary

Micropower Group is seeking a skilled Hardware Engineer to design and develop electronic hardware. You will play a key role in creating solutions across the entire product lifecycle, including schematic design and PCB layout.

Qualifications

What you’ll do

In this role, you will design and develop electronic hardware for both new and existing products, ensuring robust, reliable, and cost‑efficient solutions. You will work with schematic design, PCB layout, component selection, and validation, as well as testing and troubleshooting hardware‑related issues.

You will be involved throughout the entire product lifecycle, from development and release to maintenance and continuous improvement. Together with colleagues from software, mechanics, and product management, you will work cross‑functionally in agile teams.

You will participate in design reviews, contribute to technical decisions, and collaborate with internal stakeholders as well as external suppliers and manufacturing partners. You will also ensure that designs are well documented and meet quality, performance, and EMC requirements.

Requirements
  • BSc or MSc in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or equivalent university degree
  • 2–5 years of documented experience in electronics development
  • Documented experience in analog and digital electronics design, including schematics and PCB layout
  • Experience working with PCB design tools (e.g., Altium, KiCad or similar)
  • Experience in testing, validation, and troubleshooting of hardware
  • Professional level of English and Swedish
Additional experience we value
  • Good understanding of EMC/EMI considerations
  • Experience working in cross‑functional development teams
