Position Summary

We are seeking a Senior Hardware Design Engineer to lead the development of mission-critical electronic hardware for the defense, aerospace, and automotive sectors. You will be responsible for the entire hardware lifecycle, from requirement analysis and schematic design to PCB layout, FPGA integration, and validation testing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze technical requirements and define hardware architectures for high-reliability systems.
  • Design and develop complex schematics and multi-layer PCBs.
  • Implement and integrate FPGA logic using VHDL.
  • Collaborate with embedded software teams on system integration.
  • Lead and participate in Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing activities.
  • Review and validate designs for compliance with industry standards and project specifications.
  • Utilize requirement management tools to ensure traceability (IBM DOORS Next, IQRM, MKS-RM).
Qualifications & Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Applied Electronics, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in hardware design within high-reliability sectors (defense, aerospace, or automotive).
  • Deep expertise in PCB design principles, including schematic capture and multi-layer layout.
  • Proficiency in FPGA design and programming with VHDL.
  • Experience with hardware requirement analysis and system integration.
  • Swedish citizenship (mandatory for security clearance).
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with PCB Power Supply Design.
  • Hands-on experience with embedded systems and HIL test systems.
  • Familiarity with tools such as IBM DOORS Next, IQRM, and MKS-RM.
  • Proficiency in the Swedish language.
