Job summary

Kirby Group Engineering is seeking a Graduate Electrical Engineer to support delivery of electrical services on construction projects, ensuring installations meet designs, specifications, quality standards and safety requirements.

The 24‑month Kirby Group Engineering Graduate Programme provides hands‑on project experience, mentoring, formal training and CPD, with progression across engineering, site and project support functions.

Qualifications

• Level 8 Degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or related discipline.
• Strong understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings.
• Full, clean driving licence and flexibility to travel.
• Previous placement or internship experience (Desirable).
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit or BIM tools (Desirable).

Responsibilities

• Interpret electrical drawings, schematics and specifications.
• Carry out site walks and produce snag lists.
• Support services coordination and resolve clashes.
• Assist with technical submittals and BIM coordination.
• Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors and specialist designers.
• Contribute proactively to programme delivery.
• Prepare weekly reports and trackers.
• Communicate effectively with site teams and stakeholders.
• Build professional relationships with clients and designers.
• Actively participate in the Graduate Programme and CPD activities.
• Maintain compliance with Kirby’s Information Security Management System (ISMS).
