Job summary

Volvo Construction Equipment in Sweden seeks a Purchasing Development Leader to guide the SGC Purchasing Development team. You will lead strategic projects, translate ambitions into practical roadmaps, and collaborate with global stakeholders to drive improvement across processes, tools, and governance.

You will build networks, manage relationships, enable deployment and adoption, and travel occasionally to advance initiatives.

Qualifications

• MBA or similar post‑degree preferred.
• 3 years of purchasing experience.
• Fluent in English, an additional language is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute strategic projects with full ownership for scope, plans, deliverables, risks, decisions and results.
• Coordinate and align PD focus activities with SGC and global purchasing priorities.
• Develop and deploy sourcing strategies, improve governance, processes, tools and adoption.
• Translate strategic ambitions into practical roadmaps, milestones and follow‑up.
• Use data and insights to improve transparency, support decisions and measure progress.
• Explore digital solutions, automation and AI to solve business needs and improve user experience.
• Build collaboration with commodity teams, regions, Aftermarket, Technology, Operations and other Volvo Group stakeholders.
• Facilitate workshops and sessions to move teams from discussion to action.
• Highlight risks and dependencies and present fact‑based recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Communicate clearly to support understanding, engagement and adoption.
• Occasional travel may be required.
