Job summary

Volvo Construction Equipment is seeking a Purchasing Development Leader to drive strategic PD projects across global commodities. You will collaborate with SGC, global teams and stakeholders to translate priorities into actionable roadmaps, governance, and adoption, while ensuring continuous improvement and value delivery.

You will lead cross‑functional work, influence without formal authority, and foster an inclusive, high‑performing team culture across Europe/USA sites.

Qualifications

• MBA or similar post‑degree preferred.
• 3 years of purchasing experience.
• Fluent in English; international experience is a plus.
• Geographical Location: VCE sites in Europe/USA.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute strategic PD projects from definition through implementation and adoption.
• Coordinate and prioritize PD activities in alignment with SGC/global purchasing priorities.
• Support development and deployment of sourcing strategies, governance and adoption.
• Translate strategy into practical roadmaps, milestones and measures.
• Use data to improve transparency, support decisions and identify trends.
• Explore and apply digital solutions, automation and AI where they add value.
• Build collaborations with commodity teams, regions, and other stakeholders.
• Facilitate workshops to move teams from discussion to action.
• Highlight risks and opportunities early and propose improvements.
• Communicate clearly to ensure understanding and adoption.
