Job summary

Hitachi Energy Sweden AB is seeking a Sustainability Expert to lead global HVDC sustainability efforts across our Construction & Commissioning organization. You will drive standards, supervise budgets and schedules, and ensure safety, quality, and social sustainability within multiple regional projects.

The role emphasizes collaboration with global teams, regulatory compliance, and reporting, with a focus on delivering sustainable outcomes and supporting cost-effective project execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in sustainable development, engineering, construction management, or project management.
• Experience in sustainability reporting and some experience in preparing reports.
• Familiarity with laws and regulations compliance.

Responsibilities

• Drive HVDC sustainability efforts and lead C&C’s sustainability initiatives.
• Review and interpret project-specific sustainability requirements.
• Collaborate with Tender & Project Sustainability Managers to meet customer sustainability requirements.
• Communicate sustainability initiatives and progress to C&C managers.
• Ensure social sustainability measures are implemented within project budgets and scope.
• Monitor, analyze, and act on sustainability KPIs deviating from targets.
