Job summary

SEB in Solna is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join the Data, Analytics and Reporting team. You will build and operate a GCP data platform, develop data pipelines and automate workflows to support reporting and AI use cases.

You will collaborate with engineers, stakeholders and the Product Owner, own deliveries from design to production, implement CI/CD and data quality controls, and apply IaC with Terraform across BigQuery, Pub/Sub, Cloud Run and Dataform.

Qualifications

• Strong Python and SQL coding with tests.
• Experience building and operating production data pipelines.
• Hands-on cloud infrastructure experience, preferably GCP.
• IaC experience, Terraform preferred.
• CI/CD pipelines and code review practices.
• Experience with orchestration tools like Airflow.
• Understanding of data architecture and modelling.
• Monitoring, logging and data quality controls for production.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain data pipelines for ingestion, orchestration, transformation and delivery.
• Provision and maintain cloud infrastructure using Terraform and reusable components.
• Develop and improve CI/CD pipelines and automated checks.
• Investigate production issues and implement lasting fixes.
• Build monitoring, alerting and data quality controls.
• Develop reusable Python components and patterns for teams.
• Apply access controls and data governance practices.
• Collaborate on design, PI planning and onboarding of new teams.
• Identify opportunities to automate and simplify platform operations.
