Scania Nederland B.V. invites an MSc student to work on future Li-ion NMC/NMX technology for battery-electric trucks and buses. The project includes a techno-economic assessment, deriving cell concepts and pack configurations, and a simplified aging model to estimate degradation.

The effort will conclude with cost estimates for raw materials, cell production and packs at multi-GWh scale, with supervision and access to a ChatGPT Enterprise license.

Qualifications

• MSc thesis project on future Li-ion NMC and NMX for battery technology.
• Knowledge of battery degradation and/or cost is desirable.
• Language of work includes English and Swedish.

Responsabilités

• Identify and assess developments in NMC and NMX relevant for future BET.
• Derive representative future cell concepts and matching battery-pack concepts.
• Assess battery degradation using a simplified aging model.
• Estimate costs for raw materials, cell production and pack production at multi-GWh scale.
