Job summary

Swedium Global Services AB in Sweden is seeking a Functional Safety engineer to lead safety lifecycle activities, interpret IEC 61508 standards, and support regulatory alignment across projects.

You will drive certification planning, create and review safety cases, and collaborate with electronics/embedded teams to implement a compliant development framework.

Qualifications

• Solid hands-on experience with IEC 61508 – technical, regulatory, documentation, and process implementation.
• Experience coordinating with certification bodies (Intertek preferred).
• Strong understanding of functional safety lifecycle, hazard analysis, SIL determination, and validation.
• Background in electronics or embedded systems is preferred.
• Prior experience with IEC 60947 is an advantage.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and process management skills.
