Job summary

Volvo Group is seeking a Fullstack-Frontend Software Engineer to develop the frontend of next-generation cloud-native tools for the KOLA product team in Gothenburg. You will work hands-on, set frontend design standards, and collaborate with Product Owners, UX Designers and Architects to translate business needs into scalable solutions.

Ideal candidates bring experience with React/Angular, TypeScript, and REST APIs, plus Azure workflows and Spring backend exposure.

Qualifications

• Several years of experience in developing complex web applications with frontend technologies such as React, Angular and TypeScript.
• Experience in automated workflows using Azure and GitHub Actions.
• Knowledge in how to design web applications with security focus from start.
• Knowledge in optimizing page loading times as well as responsive UI.
• Knowledge in backend development, primarily Java.
• Knowledge in designing REST APIs.
• Experience from Spring framework.
• Experience from working in an agile team.
• Fluent in English (speaking and writing), and preferably Swedish as well.

Responsibilities

• Develop the frontend of new cloud-native tools and enhance user experience for Volvo Group engineers.
• Hands-on coding and setting frontend design standards within an agile team.

We aim to reshape the user experience with much better assistance and help to automate both small and complex tasks.

What you will do

We are bit by bit transforming our monolith solution to a modern cloud native microservice architecture. Your work will be to develop the frontend of these new tools and bring a new level of user experience to the Volvo Group engineers. In this role, you will be hands on with coding and also help setting the standard for our frontend solution design. You will also get the chance to explore business needs and from that knowledge define future solutions together with Product Owners, UX Designers, Solution Architects and Software Engineers.

We are one of four product teams developing and maintaining the core application within the product development at Volvo (KOLA) – the heart of Volvo product documentation. We are team members of different backgrounds, genders and experiences. We have open communication and always a helpful mindset. With us, you will take a key role in an agile team, striving to adopt DevSecOps manners.
The team is located in the office at Lindholmen, Gothenburg.
