We are now expanding our team of privacy experts for data privacy compliance, and it is a great opportunity for you to join us on this exciting journey. In this area you will join a team that governs Volvo Group's Digital & IT compliance with relevant privacy laws and regulations as well as internal policies and processes. In this role you will be part of a global and diverse team within the Enterprise IT security division of highly skilled professionals, who learn continuously and embrace change to stay ahead. We believe that the key to our success is daring to challenge our current ways of working and having fun while doing it.

The Role

You will have cross-functional responsibilities to engage with various stakeholders and ensure that Volvo Group's DTO's initiatives meet the data privacy compliance requirements. In this role, you will:

  • Provide advice on data privacy compliance risks and solutions to privacy-by-design in projects and processes.
  • Own and deploy the data privacy compliance training & awareness program, including educating management and staff of their privacy responsibilities and obligations.
  • Support the Volvo Group's legal digitalization activities.
  • Be part of the planning, execution, and monitoring of the Digital & IT data privacy compliance program.
  • Support the Volvo Group Data Privacy Office in managing Data Subject Rights requests and data breaches.
  • Join the cross-Volvo data privacy compliance network and forums to drive global alignment from strategy to practice.
  • Monitor and assess emerging global legal requirements related to data privacy.
Ready for the next move?

We believe you have experience and an interest in the protection and responsible use of personal data, specifically:

  • Minimum 2-3 years of work experience in a data privacy/ data compliance role
  • Certifications such as CIPP, CIPM, and CIPT would be an advantage
  • Knowledge of data privacy compliance process and governance
  • Experience with digital compliance tools
  • Understanding of data management, common IT systems, and information security practices
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Familiarity with working in a large multinational corporation
