Job summary

evroc is building a secure, sovereign, and sustainable hyperscale cloud in Europe. As a Frontend Engineer on the Think team in Stockholm, you will shape the user experience of roc, an enterprise AI you can trust, running on our own cloud and inference platform.

You will collaborate with backend and platform engineers to deliver streaming responses, interactive artifacts, and embeddable assistants across tools and sites. The role emphasizes usability, trust, and transparent design from the start.

Qualifications

As a Frontend Engineer on the Think team, you will shape the user experience of roc, enterprise AI you can trust with your data. roc delivers sovereign AI to European organizations that demand the highest levels of security and compliance, running on our own cloud and inference platform. You will help take roc beyond the chat window: building interactive artifacts alongside conversations, an embeddable assistant that organizations can integrate into their own sites, and experiences that bring roc into the tools people already use, from internal systems and knowledge bases to team chat. Along the way, you will influence our application architecture and engineering culture, building AI products where usability, trust, and transparency are part of the design from the start.

What You'll Tackle

• Design and build responsive, intuitive interfaces for enterprise AI chat, retrieval, and tool use.
• Build user experiences for streaming responses, background tool execution, and real-time state changes.
• Develop new ways for users to interact with roc beyond the traditional chat interface.
• Work closely with backend and platform engineers to ensure seamless integration across the product.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering practices that improve quality and maintainability.
• Build reliable frontend systems using testing frameworks such as Playwright and Vitest.
• Explore and apply new technologies, frameworks, and tools that improve both development workflows and user experience.

Skills We Value

• Typically 5+ years of professional experience in frontend development.
• Strong experience with modern JavaScript frameworks; familiarity with Svelte or SvelteKit is valued but not required.
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, and modern frontend development practices.
• Experience building interfaces for LLM-based products, including streaming responses, markdown rendering, and conversational UX, is a plus.
• Experience with testing frameworks such as Playwright, Vitest, or similar.
• Proficiency with Git and modern collaborative development workflows.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to both functionality and user experience.
• Ability to work closely with engineers, designers, and other stakeholders in a collaborative environment.
