Job summary

Lantmännen Biorefineries seeks an Application Specialist to translate our ingredient functionality into practical food applications. You will develop and optimize apps for dairy and other ingredients, conduct trials, and provide technical guidance to customers to drive product performance and value.

Qualifications

• BSc or MSc in Food Science or Food Technology or equivalent experience.
• Experience in food application development and product development.
• Knowledge of food ingredients, functionality, and processing.
• R&D project management capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Developing and optimizing applications for existing and new food ingredients.
• Designing and conducting trials to evaluate product functionality and performance.
• Supporting customer projects through technical guidance, demonstrations, and troubleshooting.
• Leading application-related projects from concept through prototyping and commercialization.
• Evaluating analytical results and translating insights into product recommendations.
• Identifying new opportunities through customer feedback, market insights, and emerging food trends.
• Collaborating with Sales, Product Development, Production, and Quality teams to deliver successful solutions.
• Ensuring compliance with food safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.

Skills

BSc/Food science background

MSc preferred

Experience in application development

GMP knowledge

Excellent English; Swedish a plus
