Job summary

Fairlo in Stockholm is hiring the first AI Engineer to shape how we bring AI into every area of the business, from credit decisions to operations, with security and compliance at the core.

You will design and ship AI-powered tools, prototype rapidly, and build scalable platforms on AWS and Bedrock. You’ll collaborate across teams, document templates, and help define a safe, growth-focused AI roadmap for a regulated bank.

Qualifications

• Several years of backend engineering experience and full product ownership.
• Hands-on with LLMs, AI tooling and building production-grade services.
• Strong AWS skills, security-first mindset and compliance awareness.

Responsibilities

• Build AI-powered tools and agents used across Fairlo.
• Prototype quickly, test with real users, and scale what works.
• Own the AWS foundation, Bedrock, tooling, logging and cost control.
• Wire AI tools into codebase, analytics and internal APIs with secure access.
• Write templates and documentation for self-serve engineering.
• Implement automated security and compliance checks in pipelines.
• Run workshops and coach colleagues to improve AI practice.
• Collaborate across teams to shape the AI roadmap.
