Job summary

Hitachi Energy in Ludvika, Sweden seeks a Factory Supply Chain Manager to lead strategic sourcing, supplier partnerships and supply chain performance for the Transformer Factory. You will build and mentor an SCM team, manage spend, and ensure on-time material availability while upholding safety and integrity across a multicultural organization.

In this role you collaborate across functions, implement PL/Hub aligned sourcing, and drive continuous improvements to cost, quality and delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Supply Chain Leader in heavy industry assembly.
• Experience in procurement, transportation, logistics, negotiations, and improvement projects.
• Strong communication and influencing skills to build trust with stakeholders.
• Collaborative, non-silo working mindset.
• People-oriented with a multicultural mindset.
• ERP systems knowledge is an advantage.
• English proficiency required (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Be the primary factory responsible for strategic sourcing, material availability, delivery performance, and cost competitiveness.
• Develop and lead a competent SCM team.
• Manage spend with short- and mid-term sourcing strategies.
• Select, qualify, and classify suppliers.
• Negotiate and sign contracts with key suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with external and internal regulations.
• Apply SCM standards and processes for business continuity.
• Collaborate across functions and similar factories on backlog, NPI, escalations, and synergies.
• Implement the sourcing strategy in the factory aligned with PL/Hub.
• Own liaison to Hub/BU category teams for input.
• Control material costs and lead times at tender stage.
• Analyze tender vs actuals, investigate root causes, and take corrective actions.
• Uphold Hitachi Energy’s safety and integrity values.

How you’ll make an impact

• Be the primary factory responsible for strategic sourcing activities by ensuring material availability, delivery performance, and cost competitiveness.
• Develop and lead a competent, technically strong SCM team to support operations.
• Manage assigned spend with a short-term and medium-term sourcing strategy to meet targets on total cost of ownership, quality, and reliability of supplies.
• Select, qualify, and classify suppliers.
• Negotiate and sign contracts with key global suppliers and local suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
• Apply SCM standards, tools, and processes to ensure business continuity.
• Collaborate with other functions and across similar factories on backlog execution, new product introduction, escalation cases and synergies.
• Implement the sourcing strategy in the factory in line with PL/Hub.
• Own the factory liaison to the Hub/BU category teams to provide input to the category.
• Control material costs and lead times at tender stage.
• Measure gaps between tender and actuals, investigate root causes, and take adequate corrective/preventive measures.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Supply Chain Leader, preferably in a heavy industry product assembly environment.
• Experience in operational procurement, transportation, and logistics, as well as in contract negotiations and supply performance improvement projects.
• Good listening, communication, and influencing skills to build trust with your team and different stakeholders.
• Strong collaborative skills and a non-silo working mindset.
• Inspirational, result-driven, and people-oriented, with a flair for business and a desire to work in a multicultural environment.
• Knowledge of ERP systems is an advantage.
• English is required, both written and spoken.
