• Experience in procurement, transportation, and logistics; skilled in contract negotiations and supplier performance improvements.
• Strong listening, communication and influencing skills to build trust with teams and stakeholders.
• Collaborative mindset and cross-functional teamwork; avoid silos.
• Inspiring, results-driven, people-oriented with business flair; comfortable in multicultural settings.
• Advantage: knowledge of ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Be the primary factory owner for strategic sourcing, ensuring material availability, delivery performance and cost competitiveness.
• Develop and lead a competent SCM team to support operations.
• Manage spending with short- and medium-term sourcing strategies to meet TCO, quality and reliability targets.
• Select, qualify, and classify suppliers; negotiate and sign key contracts globally and locally.
• Ensure compliance with external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
• Apply SCM standards, tools, and processes to ensure business continuity.
• Collaborate with other functions and similar factories on backlog, NPI, escalations, and synergies.
• Implement the sourcing strategy in the factory aligned with PL/Hub; liaise with BU category teams.
• Control material costs and lead times at tender stage; investigate gaps and implement corrective actions.
• Uphold Hitachi Energy's safety and integrity values in daily operations.
