Job summary

Boliden Garpenberg seeks an experienced Exploration Geologist to help discover and develop mineral resources. You will join a collaborative team of six geologists, integrating fieldwork, data interpretation and drilling planning, while coordinating with geologists and geophysicists across Boliden.

The role is based in Garpenberg, with office hours Monday to Friday and a focus on safe, well-planned exploration activities. English proficiency is essential; Swedish language skills are valued.

Qualifications

• University degree in Geology or Geoscience.
• Several years of relevant experience in mineral exploration.
• Experience in drill core logging and field mapping.
• Proficiency in GIS and geological modelling software.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate geological data and develop exploration ideas and targets.
• Plan and conduct geological fieldwork including bedrock mapping and sampling.
• Log and interpret drill cores and integrate findings into models.
• Coordinate exploration drilling with colleagues and contractors.
• Communicate results through maps, models and reports.
