Our team Autonomous Functions specializes in self-driving vehicles and interacts closely with our colleagues at Volvo Autonomous Solutions. We work with a variety of autonomous vehicle functions, such as Safety Related Vehicle functions, Safety Driver Monitor, Mode Manager, Manual Driving Autonomous. Being responsible for our product also means SW Verification & Calibration both in vehicles and in virtual environments.

Your proactive approach will drive initiatives forward, ensuring that you are not just a participant but a key contributor in forums where various functionalities are discussed. With your strong technical passion, you face change, ambiguity, and complexity with curiosity. Your ability to understand and operate within the software architecture of the truck will be crucial in delivering high-quality solutions and deploying new features into production.

In addition, you have:

  • Bachelor's or Masters in Electrical / Mechatronic / Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong technical expertise in embedded software development, CI/CD processes, and Autosar (classic/adaptive).
  • Experience in developing software in compliance with safety standards (ISO 26262) and knowledge of various safety architecture patterns for functional safety.
  • Detail-oriented with solid problem-solving skills, able to analyze complex issues, identify root causes, and propose effective solutions.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams, including engineers, designers, and project managers.
  • Ability to lead in developing low-level software designs, provide technical guidance, and drive feature realization.
  • Experience working in Agile/SAFe methodologies for software development.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire the team.
  • Familiarity with SE-Tools is a plus.

  • Design, develop, and maintain software applications using Embedded C.
  • Utilize Adaptive Autosar frameworks to enhance software functionality.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and test software solutions.
  • Work with Linux OS for development and deployment.
  • Troubleshoot and debug software issues to ensure optimal performance.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
  • Verify software quality through code reviews, unit testing, HIL, SIL, and debugging.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and technologies to continuously improve skills and knowledge.

In this role, you will report to Arvid Zarini - Group Manager, Autonomous Functions.
