Job summary

Ericsson seeks an Architect of the Data Foundation to define how RCE turns data into a governed, discoverable, AI-ready foundation for data-driven decisions and analytics.

You will lead architecture across AI data platforms, knowledge graphs, and agentic workflows, enabling autonomous engineering and faster time-to-market within Ericsson’s portfolio.

Qualifications

• Deep understanding of modern data ecosystems, cloud data platforms, lakes/warehouses, streaming and data products.
• AI and analytics fluency enabling machine learning, retrieval-augmented generation, and autonomous workflows.
• Strong governance and security including cataloging, lineage, data quality, classification, and access control at enterprise scale.
• Bridge business needs and technology translating strategy into architecture and communicating vision to engineers and executives.
• Systems-thinking mindset with ability to set direction across teams and stakeholders.
• Curiosity for what's next with enthusiasm for AI, autonomous systems, and intelligent networks.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end architecture of the AI Data Platform translating strategy into a coherent, scalable technical design.
• Design for an AI-first future, architecting data products, semantic layers, and knowledge representations powering ML and agentic workflows.
• Collaborate with Security to ensure data is trustworthy and reusable through governance and data quality.
• Lead the definition of source-agnostic framework from many data sources across the RAN lifecycle.
• Set requirements and patterns guiding realization teams and ensure platform coherence as it scales.
• Engage stakeholders from engineering to leadership, championing the vision and linking platform value to Ericsson outcomes.
• Stay ahead of the curve by bringing emerging data and AI technologies into the architecture.

The RAN System Management & Architecture sector leads and enables a distributed systemization and engineering of the constituent parts of the RAN system. This is a unique chance to architect, a governed Data Platform that will become the data backbone of RAN Development at Ericsson.

This role sits at the frontier where telecom meets artificial intelligence. The platform you architect will be the launchpad for autonomous, agent-driven engineering, that directly enables faster time-to-market, lower cost, and smarter products across the entire Ericsson portfolio.

What you will do:

• Own the end-to-end architecture of the AI Data Platform translating strategy into a coherent, scalable technical design.
• Design for an AI-first future, architecting data products, semantic layers, and knowledge representations that power machine learning, retrieval-augmented generation, and autonomous agentic workflows.
• Together with Security lead make data trustworthy and reusable by embedding governance, lineage, data quality.
• Lead the definition of source-agnostic framework from many data sources across the RAN lifecycle.
• Set the requirement and patterns that guide the realization teams, reviewing delivery against architectural intent and ensuring the platform stays coherent as it scales.
• Engaging stakeholders from engineering to leadership, championing the vision, and connecting the platform's value to the Ericsson portfolio and business outcomes.
• Stay ahead of the curve, bringing emerging data and AI technologies into the architecture to keep Ericsson portfolio at the leading edge.

The skills you bring:
