Job summary

ESAB Welding & Cutting GmbH in Gothenburg, Sweden, invites an Experienced Embedded Linux Software Developer to join the Digital Solution Connectivity team. You will design, implement and maintain embedded Linux software in C++ for product enhancements and new platforms, ensuring secure, scalable solutions across devices and cloud connections.

You will collaborate with R&D stakeholders, contribute to architecture decisions, and plan work with time estimates, while applying robust engineering

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master in CS or Software Engineering
• Minimum 5 years software design experience
• Experience in embedded Linux and C++

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain software solutions based on input requirements.
• Develop and maintain Linux embedded platform components, primarily in C++
• Debug and troubleshoot across application code, Embedded Linux, and hardware
• Apply secure and robust engineering practices
• Provide technical input to software architecture decisions
• Analyses input requirements and communicates conclusions to Platform Owners and Architecture Owner

Today, we continue to develop advanced welding and cutting solutions that help shape the future of manufacturing worldwide.Gothenburg, SwedenPosition OverviewWe are looking for an Experienced Embedded Linux Software Developer who will design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug software solutions for product enhancements and new products.You will join our Digital Solution Connectivity team and develop the embedded software platform that connects ESAB equipment to our InduSuite system.The role involves developing software and tools across embedded systems, networks, and cloud-based platforms.You will also evaluate software and hardware compatibility, contribute to technical decisions, and solve complex problems requiring the analysis of multiple factors.
