We are expanding our engineering team and looking for an experienced Electrical & Automation Engineer based in Stockholm or Mariehamn. You will bring practical design and engineering experience and play an important role in developing electrical control and automation solutions for marine energy optimisation.
eMarine develops and delivers electrical control and energy optimisation systems for international shipowners and operators. We combine marine engineering with electrical and automation expertise to improve the energy performance of commercial vessels.
Working closely with our engineering and commissioning teams, you will design and adapt electrical and automation systems for installation onboard vessels. Your work will span project-specific engineering and the ongoing development of eMarine’s technical solutions.
Your responsibilities will include:
You will work with variable frequency drives (VFDs), electrical control systems, field instrumentation and interfaces for marine HVAC and auxiliary systems.
We are looking for someone with:
Marine experience is a strong advantage, particularly experience with electrical systems onboard vessels. Practical experience in troubleshooting, fault-finding and modifying existing electrical systems is also valuable.
Knowledge of Swedish, both written and spoken, is an advantage. We also welcome experienced engineers from industrial automation, electrical engineering and controls environments who are keen to apply their skills in the marine sector.
The role is based in either Stockholm or Mariehamn. You will work closely with colleagues across eMarine’s international team and support projects for shipowners and operators worldwide.
You will build on your existing engineering experience while developing a deeper understanding of marine systems and energy optimisation. As your expertise grows, there will be opportunities to take greater technical ownership of projects, system design and the development of our engineering solutions.
