Job summary

eMarine invites applications for an Electrical & Automation Engineer based in Stockholm or Mariehamn to design and adapt electrical control and automation systems for onboard vessels as part of our marine energy optimisation efforts.

You will work with our engineering and commissioning teams on project-specific engineering and ongoing development of our electrical and automation solutions for energy efficiency across international ships.

Qualifications

Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
Solid experience in electrical design and automation systems.
Experience producing and maintaining electrical drawings in a CAD environment.
Ability to translate technical requirements into practical, well-documented designs.
Structured approach to engineering with emphasis on safety, quality and accuracy.
Ability to collaborate with colleagues across engineering and commissioning.
Good written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

Designing and modifying switchboards, electrical control cabinets and associated control systems.
Developing electrical and automation designs based on project requirements and existing vessel systems.
Preparing, reviewing and maintaining electrical drawings and technical documentation.
Defining interfaces between our systems, field instrumentation and existing onboard equipment.
Supporting commissioning colleagues with technical questions, troubleshooting and design modifications.
Contributing to the development and improvement of integrated solutions for marine energy optimisation.
