Job description

Event coordination is integral to how we engage with our stakeholders and partners. As an intern, your contributions will directly enhance our ability to create meaningful experiences that lead to real changes to policy and practice.

The intern will play a key role in organizing and executing events across SEI. This position offers hands-on experience in event planning, logistics coordination and stakeholder engagement, while helping deliver events ranging from internal learning sessions to webinars, workshops and conferences.

  • Event planning: Learn to plan, organize and deliver a wide range of events, including workshops, conferences, internal learning events and public engagement activities.
  • Scheduling: develop scheduling skills to ensure smooth timelines and adherence to
  • Stakeholder engagement: collaborate with vendors, partners and participants to ensure seamless event delivery.
  • Promotion: contribute to promotional activities, including social media campaigns to extend event
  • Documentation: support record-keeping and post-event evaluations (e.g. surveys) to inform improvements.
  • Webpage management: build and update event and publication webpages in WordPress.
  • Knowledge sharing: support internal knowledge exchange through ongoing improvement of Knowledge Management (KM) Hub.
Who you are

We are looking for a motivated individual with an interest in event planning, climate change and sustainable development.

Skills and experience:
  • Strong attention to detail in planning, logistics and vendor coordination.
  • Excellent written and spoken English (Swedish is an asset but not required).
  • Previous event planning experienceis an advantage, but tasks can be adapted to your skills and interests.
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment and drive tasks forward with initiative.

To be eligible, you must be enrolled at a university or university college, and the internship should be part of your education.

Please note: SEI HQ internships are unpaid. Applicants must be fully funded and insured by external sources for the entire internship period.
