Nouryon seeks an Environmental Liability Project Manager – Europe to lead and coordinate environmental investigations and remediation projects across Europe, ensuring regulatory compliance and responsible handling of liabilities. You will contribute to financial planning through environmental reserves and long-term strategy within the Environmental Liability Management team.

Qualifikationen

• Academic degree in science or engineering.
• Extensive experience in process, pharma, mining or oil industry or global technical consulting.
• Project management experience covering technical, financial and legal aspects.
• Experience across multiple countries and regulatory authorities in Europe.
• Fluent in English and Swedish or Dutch; drivers license.

Aufgaben

• Manage impaired sites and environmental liabilities across Nouryon's European portfolio, ensuring compliance, cost control and protection of company reputation.
• Monitor and control investigation/remediation costs, including invoice approvals and liability provisioning.
• Manage consultants and contractors, including scoping, performance follow-up, cost control and deliverable reviews.
• Maintain relationships with Nouryon sites, regulators and key stakeholders.
• Contribute to remediation strategies with safety, budgeting and cross-functional coordination.
• Support improvement of ELM procedures and guidelines.
• Assist in environmental due diligence for M&A activities as needed.
• Travel for site visits (Sweden, Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, France) up to ~20%.
