Job summary

Lyten is seeking an Environmental Engineer to support environmental compliance and reduce environmental impact across the organization. You will plan, implement, and maintain environmental management systems, ensure permits and legislation are met, and pursue sustainability goals while acting as the site’s environmental expert.

Qualifications

• Degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering or a relevant scientific field.
• 5–10 years of relevant experience in industrial or manufacturing environments.
• Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and ISO 14001, REACH, RoHS, etc.
• Experience conducting audits, impact assessments, and sustainability reporting.
• Knowledge of iChemistry and Notisum is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain environmental management systems, policies, and procedures.
• Monitor and report compliance with permits, legislation, and internal standards.
• Ensure effective waste and chemical management and adherence to regulations.
• Lead the environmental monitoring program, data collection, analysis, and reporting.
• Support permitting, audits, and ISO 14001 implementation.
• Drive sustainability initiatives and integrate environmental considerations into operations.
• Prepare documentation for audits, inspections, and external reporting.
• Provide guidance and training on environmental compliance and governance.
• Conduct environmental and waste walks and identify improvements.
• Inform management on actions needed for compliance with permits or laws.
• Participate in audits and meetings with authorities; report to regulators.
• Responsible for yearly environmental reports (e.g., to KEMI and SMP).
