Job summary

Institutional Shareholder Services Inc. is seeking an ESG Regulatory Compliance Specialist on a part‑time basis to support the EU Regulatory team.

The role reports to the Head of Regulatory Compliance Europe and collaborates with ISS STOXX management and the Board of Directors of ISS Corporate AB. The successful candidate will act as ESMA contact, assess regulatory requirements, draft policies, and provide training on key EU regulations including Green Bonds, ESG Rating, MAR, and Benchmark

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Law.
• At least 3 years of experience within the financial services industry (experience with financial data providers or asset managers is preferred but not mandatory).
• Compliance experience is required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Independent initiative and critical-thinking skills.
• Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary point of contact for the supervisory authority ESMA regarding ISS Corporate AB activities under the EU Green Bonds Regulation.
• Assess regulatory requirements for ISS Corporate AB businesses and support implementation.
• Provide advice to ISS STOXX business activities on material EU regulatory topics, focusing on EU Green Bonds Regulation, ESG Rating Regulation, Market Abuse Regulation, Benchmark Regulation, and related financial market regulations.
• Contribute to the ISS STOXX Compliance Management System through maintaining legal inventories, assisting with control testing, and mitigating compliance findings.
• Draft and review compliance policies, guidelines and procedures.
• Coordinate external audits where applicable (3rd line of defense).
• Develop and deliver compliance training to employees on material regulatory topics.
• Respond to client due‑diligence requests.
• Collaborate with business and related teams to provide accurate reporting to ISS STOXX management and other stakeholders.
• Handle other compliance tasks as needed.
