Job summary

Oatly AB in Malmö is seeking an ESG Data Specialist to join the Sustainability Reporting & Analytics team. The role focuses on keeping ESG data accurate, consistent, and well documented, and on running internal CSRD controls to make disclosures ready for external assurance.

You will turn data into clear reports and dashboards for daily business use, support monthly/ quarterly/ annual reporting, and help with forecasting and tool improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a field aligned with data analytics, finance, environmental science, statistics, or related field.
• 3–7 years hands-on experience with sustainability, ESG or related quantitative data in a business setting.

Responsibilities

• Keep ESG data accurate and consistent across the organization by collecting, cleaning, validating, modeling, and maintaining definitions and quality checks.
• Run and document internal controls over CSRD-reported data to ensure disclosures are evidenced for external assurance.
• Support ESG Reporting Lead through monthly, quarterly, and annual cycles by gathering and consolidating data from units and systems on time.
• Analyze ESG data to spot trends, gaps and patterns needing closer inspection.
• Build and maintain management reports and dashboards to make ESG data accessible to stakeholders.
• Contribute to climate-related forecasting, scenario analysis and simulations.
• Help improve IT tools and platforms behind ESG data collection and reporting, automating manual steps where possible.

This role will be responsible for keeping our ESG data accurate, consistent and well documented, and for running the internal controls over the data we report under CSRD so that our disclosures are evidenced and ready for external assurance. WHAT WE NEED YOU TO DO

• Build and maintain the management reports and dashboards that make ESG data easy for stakeholders across the business to use.

WHAT WE NEED YOU TO BRING TO THE TABLE

• A bachelor’s degree or equivalent in practical experience, ideally within data analytics, finance, environmental science, statistics or a related field.

• Three to seven years of hands‑on experience with sustainability, ESG or comparable quantitative data in a business environment.

• Strong technical data skills: you clean, validate, model and visualise large datasets with ease, and you know your way around the analytics tools and reporting systems behind them.

• Working knowledge of ESG reporting frameworks and what audit‑ready data demands, ideally including internal controls in a CSRD or financial reporting context.

• A talent for turning complex data into clear insights and dashboards that non‑technical stakeholders can act on, and the precision to get the numbers right when they end up in external disclosures.

• Fluent English and the collaborative instincts to work across functions, geographies and business units.
