Job description

Overview

PostNord is making a significant investment in strengthening its sustainability and ESG reporting capabilities toward customers as part of our data‑driven transformation. To support this journey, we are building a new ESG data foundation and are looking for an ESG Data Analyst to help shape how ESG data is analysed, validated and made usable across the organisation.

Your role
  • Analyse, validate and interpret ESG and sustainability data for reporting and performance follow‑up.
  • Develop and maintain ESG reports, dashboards and visualisations, e.g. in Power BI.
  • Ensure traceability and consistency between source data, calculations and reported figures.
  • Design and apply data‑driven and automated internal controls to detect anomalies, inconsistencies and reporting risks in ESG data.
  • Identify data quality issues, gaps and inconsistencies, analyse root causes, and drive resolution and problem‑solving together with data and ESG colleagues.
  • Develop and implement automation solutions to improve operational efficiency.
  • Continuously improve ESG reporting, analysis, dashboards and controls in line with evolving requirements and stakeholder needs.
  • Support manual ESG reporting and ad‑hoc customer reporting for key customers.
Your team

You will be part of the ESG Controlling Team, responsible for internal, external and customer ESG data reporting for PostNord. The team is part of Record to Report within Group Finance, and the role reports to Monica Erichsen, Head of Record to Report. You will also work closely with data engineers, architects, and business stakeholders.

Qualifications
  • Degree in Data Analytics, Statistics or a similar field.
  • Several years of experience working with big data in roles such as Data Analyst, BI Analyst, Reporting Analyst or similar.
  • Experience working with large and complex datasets, preferably in data lake‑based environments.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, Power BI and SQL; Python is a plus.
  • Experience building and maintaining reports and dashboards.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to structure, validate and analyse large and complex data sets.
  • Experience with data quality checks, internal controls and handling of data uncertainties.
  • Comfortable working in complex and evolving data and regulatory environments, with a pragmatic and structured approach.
  • Strong collaboration skills and experience working cross‑functionally.
  • Fluency in English with strong communication skills; a Nordic language is a plus but not a requirement.
  • Experience working within the sustainability or logistics field is an advantage, but not a requirement.
Your profile

Detail‑oriented with a strong ability to break down complex datasets into clear, actionable insights. Curious, eager to learn and genuinely interested in understanding both the data and the business context behind it. Demonstrates a high level of accountability, takes initiative and works comfortably both independently and collaboratively. Proactively investigates, asks questions and finds solutions when answers are not immediately available. Values teamwork and collective success, consistently putting the team's outcomes ahead of personal achievements.

Benefits
  • A flexible hybrid workplace with an open and inclusive working culture.
  • Strong opportunities for professional development and career growth.
  • Competitive insurance coverage and occupational pension benefits.
  • Wellness allowance, as well as access to a gym and swimming pool at our office.
  • Employee benefits through the PostNord Plus staff foundation.
  • Employment in accordance with collective bargaining agreements.
