Job summary

WPP Media Sweden is building a local data engineering capability to support the Swedish organisation. As a Data Engineer in Stockholm, you will learn to build and maintain reliable cloud-based data solutions, improving reporting automation and enabling advanced analytics.

The role works with data engineering, BI, data science teams, with guidance and room to grow, and offers a hybrid office model with a six-month probation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's in a quantitative/technical field.
• Programming experience; Python is the main language.
• Foundational SQL knowledge and data transformation basics.
• Interest in cloud platforms; GCP is used.
• Structured, collaborative problem-solving with good documentation.
• Ability to explain technical questions clearly to varied backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain cloud-based data pipelines and infrastructure in GCP.
• Use Python and SQL to prepare data for reporting, analytics and AI use cases.
• Assist with data quality checks, monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with data engineering, BI and data science teams to meet needs.
• Contribute to documentation, version control and repeatable workflows.
• Participate in trainings and knowledge sharing; take ownership of tasks.
