Job summary

WPP Media Sweden is building a local data engineering capability to support the Swedish organization. The role focuses on cloud-based data solutions, data pipelines, and analytics to enable reporting and AI use cases.

You will work with experienced colleagues across data engineering, BI, data science, and media, growing your skills in a collaborative environment with room for progression. This is a hybrid, full-time position in Sweden.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, or a similar technical field.
• Experience with programming; Python is the main language used.
• Foundational knowledge of SQL: data storage, transformation and querying.
• Interest in cloud platforms; experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Structured and curious problem-solving approach; care for data quality and documentation.
• Collaborative mindset; ability to explain technical questions clearly to diverse colleagues.
• English: Fluent in speech and writing.
• You have a valid work permit in Sweden.

Responsibilities

• Support the development and maintenance of cloud-based data pipelines and infrastructure in Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Use Python and SQL to collect, transform and prepare data for reporting, measurement, analytics and AI use cases.
• Assist with data quality checks, monitoring and troubleshooting for data products.
• Collaborate with data engineering, BI, and data science teams to translate needs into data solutions.
• Contribute to documentation, version control and repeatable engineering practices (infrastructure and transformation workflows).
• Participate in training, workshops and knowledge sharing; gradually own well-defined engineering tasks.
