Job summary

SAVR, a fast-growing Swedish fintech, is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a cross-functional team of 6–8 engineers across frontend, backend, and AI/ML. You will balance people leadership with hands-on contributions, foster a high-trust environment, and drive reliable delivery and technical initiatives.

• Multiple years of experience from software engineering.
• Experience leading cross-functional engineering teams in a product environment.
• Ability to balance hands-on technical contribution with people leadership.

• Strong focus on reliable systems, observability, and compliant delivery.

Responsibilities

• Co-own backlog, scope, and planning with the Product Manager.
• Run effective execution rituals with transparent risk management.
• Lead feedback conversations, performance reviews, and growth plans.
• Partner with the Tech Lead on architecture decisions and strategy; contribute code when high leverage.
• Coordinate work with suppliers/partners and manage integrations.
• Oversee access management, compliance, and KPI/observability work.
• Lead by example and contribute to the codebase, including bug fixes and feature delivery.
