Job summary

Google is seeking a Software Engineering Manager in Sweden to lead mobile and full-stack development for media AI and platform integration. You will guide multiple teams across information retrieval, AI, NLP, and large-scale systems, ensuring alignment with product strategy and technical excellence.

The role emphasizes developing engineers, shaping project goals, and managing a large product budget while coordinating across sites internationally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in software development.
• 3 years of experience with full stack development, across back-end such as Java, Python, Golang, or C++ with front-end including JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML, CSS or equivalent.
• 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role.
• 2 years of experience in a people management or team leadership role.

Responsibilities

• Own the direction and execution for your team, including the team’s goal and roadmap.
• Drive and develop the collaboration with partner teams within Google such as GDM, CoreML, Android/Pixel.
• Establish new processes and improve the existing ones to ensure a healthy release cadence.
• Nurture a healthy team culture, while coaching and growing a talented team of engineers.
• Review code developed by other engineers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
