Konecranes is seeking an Engineering Manager, Drivetrain, Function & Driver Environment to lead a skilled team focused on Lift Truck mobility, hydraulics, ergonomics and driver comfort. You will drive system integration and installations, balancing ETO work with strategic R&D and ensuring safety, quality and timely delivery.

The role requires strong people leadership, hands-on design experience, and collaboration across engineering functions to support current customers and future product

Formación

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering or related technical discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in people management (Engineering Manager, Team Leader, or Technical Project Manager).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical design for heavy equipment, material handling, lifting applications or automotive industries.
• Proficiency with modern CAD software, PLM systems, and FMEA.
• Extensive experience with physical architecture, packaging, and installation of hoses, cables, and aux equipment.
• Solid understanding of drivetrain, fluid power/hydraulics, ergonomics, and driver environment layout.
• Knowledge of functional safety and automotive regulatory compliance (ISO 13849, ISO 26262) is appreciated.
• Fluent in English; Swedish is a strong advantage.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team of system integrators and design engineers.
• Manage resources balancing short-term ETO work and longer-term R&D projects.
• Manage budget, cost estimates and financial follow-ups for the team.
• Ensure engineering deliveries meet scope, quality requirements and timelines.
• Develop and quality-assure engineering methods and tools in line with safety standards.
• Mitigate technical risks and ensure functional machine safety and system compliance.
• Collaborate with Supply, Service, Product Support and other stakeholders for efficient engineering support.
• Drive knowledge sharing, continuous improvement and competence development.
• Handle work environment responsibility.
