Job summary

Toyota Material Handling Europe is seeking a Project Manager R&D to lead cross-functional product development projects across automated vehicles, energy solutions, and connected trucks. You will drive projects from concept to production launch, ensuring scope, milestones, resources and quality are aligned.

You will report to the Manager R&D Project Lead and support continuous improvement of PM practices within the European PMO.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, technology or related field.
Experience leading projects in an industrial or product development setting.
Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage competing priorities.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Fluency in Swedish and English, both written and spoken.
Structured approach to risk, decision-making and problem-solving.

Responsibilities

Lead cross-functional R&D projects from initiation to delivery with clear scope and milestones.
Build and guide project teams with defined roles and responsibilities.
Monitor progress, risks and dependencies, and take proactive corrective actions.
Ensure structured decision-making and transparent communication with sponsors and stakeholders.
Align development, quality, industrialization and production launch activities.
Contribute to continuous improvement of PM methods, tools and processes.
