Job summary

Einride is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the Simulation team in Stockholm or Gothenburg. You will build and operate the simulation infrastructure that enables ML-driven development and validation of autonomous driving systems.

You will architect the stack, decide build-vs-partner strategy, and grow a high-performing team delivering scalable, high-fidelity simulation and data pipelines. Collaboration with Perception, Motion Planning, Systems Eng, and V&V is essential.

Qualifications

• Proven track record leading teams delivering platform/infra products in autonomous driving or safety-critical domains.
• Strong understanding of closed-loop simulation for dev/validation and fidelity trade-offs.
• Hands-on with large-scale sim infrastructure (cloud/on-prem, CI/CD, data pipelines, containers).

Responsibilities

• Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing engineering team focused on simulation infrastructure and platform engineering.
• Architect, scale, and operate the closed-loop simulation platform and pipelines for scenarios, sensor models, and SIL/HIL testing.
• Set technical direction for the simulation stack, weighing build-vs-partner decisions and enabling ML-driven approaches.
• Treat simulation as an internal product with user-centric roadmap and measurable adoption.
• Build data flows connecting virtual testing with real-world vehicle testing and trace results across both.
• Lead the organization through the shift to simulation-driven development.
