Job summary

Einride is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the Simulation team. You will make simulation the primary development and validation path for its autonomous driving stack, guiding infrastructure, platforms, tooling, compute, and pipelines for ML-driven workflows.

You will set technical direction, decide build-vs-partner options, and grow the team's depth as we scale. Collaboration across Perception, Planning & Control, Systems Engineering, and V&V is essential.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of building and leading teams delivering platform/infra products in autonomous driving, robotics, or complex safety-critical domains.
• Solid understanding of closed-loop simulation for dev/validation, including fidelity trade-offs.
• Hands-on experience with large-scale sim infrastructure, cloud/on-prem orchestration, CI/CD, data pipelines, containerization.

Responsibilities

• Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing engineering team focused on simulation infrastructure and platform engineering.
• Architect, scale, and operate the closed-loop simulation platform and pipelines enabling scenario authoring, high-fidelity sensor models, and SIL/HIL testing.
• Set technical direction for the simulation stack and decide build-vs-partner strategies for ML-driven approaches.
• Treat simulation as an internal product, gather user requirements, and measure adoption and trust in results.
• Build tooling and data flows that connect virtual testing with real-world vehicle testing and trace results across both.
• Lead the engineering team and organization through the transition toward simulation-driven development.
• Collaborate with Perception, Motion Planning & Control, Systems Engineering, and V&V leadership.
