ALSTOM in Västerås, Sweden, seeks a full-time Engineering Bid Manager to lead the engineering bid work for Nordic rail vehicle projects. You’ll collaborate with bid management, production and verification teams, translating customer needs into executable technical solutions.

Could you be the full-time Engineering Bid Manager in Västerås we’re looking for?

Your future role

Get on-board and apply your Bid Engineerexpertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll report to Lars Devero (ALM Engineering Manager Nordics, located in Västerås), and work alongside collaborative and humble teammates.

You’ll contribute by leading the engineering (i.e. the technical part) bid work for the majority of the rail vehicles running in the Nordics in the service s domain (i.e. refurbishments and upgrades on rail vehicles). Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (all the way from bid management to production and verification of technical systems on the rail vehicle), technical investigations and much more.

You’ll specifically take care of the engineering scope in Bids , but also grow in areas which you are interested in and suit the company needs.We are looking for someone with experience in leading technical bids.

We’ll look to you for:

• Leading the engineering bid work, from understanding customer requirements, to having these interpreted, packaged and quality assured for customer bids
• Understand customer and supplier relationships
• To provide added value to Alstom’s customers by proposing technical solutions
• Having external contacts with customers and suppliers
• Planning resource needs for the engineering bids
• Lead and create the budget in bids for the engineering workload including time and cost estimation
