Job summary

IQVIA is seeking a high-impact Director/Senior Director of Business Development for Clinical Solutions in EMEA. You will lead strategic growth initiatives across mid-size pharmaceutical accounts, shape long-term partnerships, and position IQVIA’s RDS capabilities as a catalyst for innovation and speed in drug development.

You will establish and execute comprehensive sales plans, manage complex deals, and mentor junior sales staff while maintaining high visibility within customer organizations

Qualifications

• 10+ years of business development experience in Clinical Research Organizations.
• Proven success in managing and growing strategic accounts within mid-size pharma.
• Strong understanding of global clinical development, regulatory pathways, and therapeutic area dynamics.
• Executive presence with excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
• Ability to navigate complex sales cycles and drive cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Achieve annual sales target across pharmaceutical accounts for IQVIA services.
• Maintain knowledge of IQVIA offerings for cross-sell opportunities.
• Prospect new business opportunities within target accounts and develop sales plans.
• Cultivate long-term relationships with key decision-makers and understand customer needs.
• Coordinate with operations and proposals to develop compelling solutions and proposals.
• Utilize CRM reports to analyze business development activity and track progress.
• Lead or participate in change management initiatives for the sales organization.
