ALTEN is seeking an Embedded Software Integration Engineer in Eskilstuna to drive the development and integration of low-level embedded software for ECU platforms. You will collaborate with hardware and software teams to ensure deterministic, robust, and real-time performance in safety-critical systems.

The role emphasizes hands-on verification, debugging, and close integration across hardware/software domains while leveraging MCUs, RTOS, and tooling to deliver reliable platform solutions.

Qualifications

• Several years of experience in low-level embedded software development.
• Strong understanding of MCUs and embedded hardware.
• Experience with RTOS and bare-metal software.
• Proficiency in C++, with Python for scripting, automation, and testing.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Develop and integrate low-level embedded software for ECU platforms.
• Work with MCUs, boot software, drivers, hardware abstraction, and RTOS.
• Analyze and troubleshoot software and hardware-related issues.
• Perform hands-on verification and debugging using tools like debug probes, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers.
• Contribute to the architecture, implementation, integration, and verification of the software platform.
