EVOLVED Aerospace is on a mission to redefine what's possible in unmanned systems. As we scale our airborne platforms and onboard mission systems, we are now looking for a highly skilled Embedded DSP & Signal Processing Engineer to join our growing engineering team.

This is a key role for someone who thrives in a fast-moving, cross-disciplinary environment, and who brings hands-on experience in radar DSP, embedded firmware, and real-time signal processing.

Your Role

You will be responsible for designing and implementing algorithms for advanced radar, electronic warfare, and communication systems. Your work will include both high-level prototyping and low-level embedded implementation — with impact across real-time flight systems, simulations, and field testing.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, optimize, and implement DSP algorithms for radar and sensor fusion applications
  • Implement signal processing functions using embedded C/C++ on microcontrollers and ARM-based platforms
  • Prototype and test algorithms using Python and MATLAB
  • Design and optimize real-time firmware, including peripherals such as ADC, DAC, DMA, UART, SPI
  • Use 2D FFT, CFAR, and Doppler processing for detection, tracking, and clutter removal
  • Work closely with systems engineers, payload developers, and software teams to ensure seamless integration
  • Support field testing, debugging and performance validation of airborne systems

We’re looking for someone who has

  • A degree in Electrical Engineering, Signal Processing or related field (MSc or higher preferred)
  • 5+ years of experience in embedded firmware and DSP algorithm development
  • Hands-on experience with STM32, ARM Cortex, MSP430, or similar
  • Strong background in radar signal processing (e.g., FMCW, FFT, CFAR, Doppler)
  • Proficiency in C/C++, Python, MATLAB
  • Familiarity with RTOS, control systems, and VHDL/FPGAs is a plus
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to take full ownership of tasks
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written)

You are also

  • Self-driven and eager to push boundaries
  • Comfortable working in an agile, mission-focused team
  • Passionate about applied engineering in the aerospace & defense space

Why Join EVOLVED?

We are a rapidly growing aerospace company building disruptive UAV platforms that matter. Our teams operate across Sweden, the UK, and the US, and we work closely with governments and defense customers around the world. At EVOLVED, you’ll work with top-tier engineers and get to own real, production-ready systems from day one.
