Electronics Design Engineer — Automotive ECU Systems

Job summary

Tata Technologies seeks an Electronics Design Engineer in Sweden to lead the development of electronic components with suppliers and to integrate complete systems within our Volvo-aligned platforms.

You will ensure time, cost, and quality targets while writing specifications and coordinating prototypes. Strong ECU design/validation experience, ISO/16750 and EMC knowledge, and the ability to work across cross-functional teams are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering or Mechatronics or related field.
• Experience in system development and ECU design/validation.
• Knowledge of ISO 16750 (automotive environmental specifications).
• EMC/EMI knowledge and automotive standards experience.
• Understanding of mechatronic systems and automotive & chassis knowledge.
• Knowledge of ISO26262 and ISO21434 is a plus.
• Experience with troubleshooting electrical/electronic faults.
• Hands-on use of DMM, oscilloscope, function generator.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of electronic components with suppliers.
• Develop complete systems or components within our platforms.
• Meet targets for time, technology, quality and cost.
• Write component and system specifications.
• Coordinate prototypes and verification.
• Ensure compliance with ISO or relevant automotive standards.
• Develop and secure supplier electrical HW specs and design to match VCC requirements.
• Support analyses of field quality issues and propose corrective actions.
• Collaborate with Software, Quality, Manufacturing, Architects, and Supply Chain.
