Job summary

RISE Processum AB in Örnsköldsvik seeks a PhD‑level chemist to lead and contribute to electrochemical projects advancing fossil‑free processes and biobased products. You will work hands-on in the lab and in pilot‑scale environments, collaborating with industry, universities and public partners.

You will develop and optimize CO₂ reduction technologies, electrochemical cell design and catalyst development, disseminating results through publications and conferences while strengthening

Qualifications

• PhD in Chemistry required.
• Strong expertise in electrocatalysis and electrochemical reactor engineering.
• Proven CO₂RR experience including catalysts and mechanisms.
• Experience with electrochemical cell design and electrode materials.
• English fluency (written and spoken).
• Ability to work in interdisciplinary research environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to projects funded by government, EU and industry.
• Upscale electrolyser, cell design, CO₂ reduction towards electrochemical process development.
• Secure research funding and drive activities across multiple projects.
• Collaborate with academic, industrial and public-sector partners; disseminate results at conferences.
