Job summary

Siemens Energy is hiring for an LV electrical design engineer in Finspång to develop customer-specific electrical designs for gas turbine projects. You will collaborate with assembly teams, subcontractors, and project managers to ensure requirements are met and delivered on schedule.

The role requires an electrical engineering education and several years of experience, with familiarity in COMOS, SAP, ETAP and SINAMICS/SIMATIC STARTER aiding rapid integration.

How You’ll Make An Impact

• Deliver the electrical design for our gas turbine projects, supporting customers worldwide in meeting energy demands.
• Take ownership of your designs, ensuring they meet customer needs on time and within budget.
• Design and document low voltage systems and equipment, including frequency converters, starter motors, batteries, UPS systems, and switchgear.
• Build strong partnerships with your interfaces to secure smooth order execution and efficient customer solutions.
• Develop high-quality, customer-oriented solutions that will power society and enhance the work environment for your team.

What You Bring

• A relevant education in electrical engineering, complemented by several years of experience in the field.
• Previous experience with our product line and other power generation products is highly valued.
• Familiarity with COMOS and SAP will help you integrate quickly into the team.
• Experience with electrical engineering and power system analysis tools, such as ETAP, is advantageous.
• Knowledge of UPS systems or battery systems is considered a plus.
• Experience with Siemens SINAMICS drive systems and SIMATIC STARTER, particularly in configuration, commissioning, and troubleshooting, is beneficial.
• Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, with a collaborative spirit.

About The Team

The Low Voltage team is one of four construction teams within the electrical systems department, working collaboratively to deliver comprehensive electrical solutions for customer projects. Comprising around 20 dedicated team members located in Sweden, India, Austria, and the US, we value each individual’s input and expertise.
