Financial Control & Accounting (FCA) is a global finance department within Group Finance, reporting to the Volvo Group CFO. FCA is responsible for ensuring that financial performance is accurately reflected across Business Areas, Truck Divisions, Group Functions, and legal entities. FCA also manages local tax administration, compliance, and provides global shared services through delivery centers in Accounting Services, emphasizing quality and process efficiency. We are a global organization with 1400 colleagues in more than 50 countries, closely integrated with business operations. We continually strive to develop and automate our processes and to enhance our role as a key business partner. FCA promotes quality and efficiency through lean optimization, digitalization, and offshoring.

We anticipate significant changes in finance over the coming years, moving towards fully automated, touchless processes and advanced analytics based on real-time data. FCA is fully embracing this digital transformation.

What We Are Looking For

We are seeking a new team member for the FCA Business Control team to drive financial performance and participate actively in our digital transformation. You will work closely with a team of 11 finance professionals across 5 countries, valuing team spirit, collaboration, and innovation. You will report to the Director of FCA Business Control.

What You Will Do

As a business controller, you will focus on performance and financial follow-up for FCA operations, including estimates, KPIs, and ensuring accurate estimates. Your role involves consolidating team efforts in planning and follow-up, integrating various aspects into a unified picture, and driving lean FCA controlling initiatives. You will also be involved in improvement activities and work closely with business controllers and colleagues within the Volvo Group.

Main Activities And Responsibilities
  • Ensure financial and operational follow-up focusing on efficiency, transparency, and quality.
  • Collaborate with FCA controllers, management, and organization for analysis and operational support.
  • Drive networks within business control, lead development and change initiatives, and follow up on improvement actions.
  • Ensure cost and headcount estimates are completed, consolidated, and reported.
  • Participate in setting financial targets and analyzing/reporting financial performance.
  • Prepare monthly reports for stakeholders and participate in forums.
  • Contribute to team development.
Who are you?

We are looking for someone with a strong finance background, analytical skills, and data competence. You are action-oriented, proactive, and enjoy continuous improvement. A great team player comfortable in a global environment and with management. You should have:

  • A relevant degree in Finance, Economics, or Business
  • Experience in controlling, financial reporting, or accounting
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong teamwork skills in matrix and diverse international teams
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and ideally Power BI
  • Good accounting knowledge
  • Structured, organized, and committed to results
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Proactive, service-minded, and flexible
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Fluent in English, written and spoken
