Job description

Data Analyst for Master Data, Gothenburg

This role involves working within Volvo Digital & IT to develop and maintain tools and processes for managing core data such as Customers, Products, and Suppliers. The ideal candidate will be an experienced data analyst with skills in data quality measurements and visualization, collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance data governance and management.

Responsibilities include:

  • Becoming a Data Quality subject matter expert in one or more master data domains.
  • Sharing knowledge and best practices within the Master Data Management team.
  • Conducting workshops with business data stewards to understand their data quality needs.
  • Accessing, manipulating, querying, and analyzing data using tools like PowerBI, Informatica, SQL.
  • Defining business rules for data quality.
  • Designing and implementing dashboards for data visualization.
  • Supporting testing and user acceptance processes.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to profile data and build data quality measurements and dashboards.
  • Supporting remediation plans to improve data quality.
  • Working in agile teams to develop new products and features.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree or equivalent in IT.
  • 3-5 years of experience in data analysis.
  • Proactive problem solver with teamwork skills.
  • Experience with SQL, data manipulation, and reporting.
  • Experience designing dashboards with visualization tools like PowerBI.
  • Understanding of Data Quality concepts and activities.
  • Experience with ETL tools like Informatica.
  • Experience in an international environment.
  • Excellent English communication skills (C1 level).

Nice to have:

  • Experience with Informatica IDQ or similar.
  • Knowledge of Azure Data Analytics Stack.
  • Python scripting for data preparation/cleaning.
