Field Crew Chief

Department: Survey/Geomatics

Employment Type: Full Time

Location: Cleveland, OH

Reporting To: Paul Wander


Description

Our talented staff of more than 450+ professionals deliver integrated planning, design, engineering, and construction solutions.

Due to MSG's continued growth, a new opening is available for a Field Crew Chief to assist with our Survey projects for all of Ohio & Pennsylvania!


Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a one or two-person field crew
  • Use of Robotic Total Stations, GPS, and data collectors
  • Perform / oversee field work for topographic, boundary, roadway, and ALTA Surveys
  • Conduct property legal research both online and at County government offices
  • Upload and download data collector files
  • Check field files & notes for accuracy and completeness

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Experience with the following is a plus, but not required:

  • Process topographic, boundary, and ALTA Surveys using AutoCAD/Civil 3D or OpenRoads Designer
  • Prepare construction staking materials, including point files
  • Although a Professional Surveyor license in the State of Ohio is not required; We are committed to supporting our team members in their professional growth and will assist qualified candidates in obtaining their Professional Surveyor License.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Trimble Robotic Total Stations and GNSS data collection
  • Some experience with AutoCAD or Civil3D
  • Frequent travel will be required based on various projects based on client needs.
