MacGregor – Let's shape the future together. As Head of Group Control, you will lead financial reporting across the MacGregor Group, ensuring accurate IFRS-compliant reporting and strong governance.

Based at our Gothenburg headquarters, you will manage a team of four and partner with senior finance leaders and stakeholders. You will drive closing cycles, external audit, regulatory compliance, and CSRD reporting, while developing processes, controls and data quality.

Qualifications

  • MSc in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in group accounting, consolidation and external reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS, consolidation and reporting requirements.
  • Experience in a senior finance role such as Group Controller or Head of Group Reporting.
  • Experience in business controlling, performance analysis and decision support.
  • Proven ability to develop reporting processes, closing cycles, governance and finance systems.
  • Experience with group reporting and consolidation tools (Hyperion HFM, SAP, BI).
  • Experience with external audit, internal control and compliance.
  • Capital markets experience (bond reporting/listings/IPO readiness) is advantageous.
  • Fluent in English; Swedish is an advantage.

  • Develop governance, reporting processes, systems and data quality across the Group.
  • Provide financial analysis, insight and decision support to senior stakeholders.
  • Coordinate country finance activities and support statutory, regulatory and internal control requirements.
  • Manage external audit processes and financial reporting-related risks.
  • Support sustainability-related reporting, including CSRD.
  • Lead and develop the Group Control team and contribute to a high-integrity finance culture.

As Head of Group Control, you will play a central role in MacGregor’s next phase of value creation as a standalone company backed by Triton. Reporting to the Group CFO, you will be responsible for accurate, timely and compliant financial reporting across the MacGregor Group, while developing the Group’s financial governance, reporting processes, systems and controls. You will act as a strategic business partner to the Group CFO and Finance Management Team, providing financial insight, analysis and decision support across historical performance, current results and future outlook. You will lead a team of four direct reports and work closely with divisional finance leaders, country finance managers and other key stakeholders across the organization. The role is based at MacGregor’s headquarters in Gothenburg.

  • Lead group financial reporting, including consolidation, closing and external reporting

What You’ll Need To Succeed

You are analytical, structured and quality-oriented, with the ability to translate complex financial information into clear insights and actions. You combine strong technical competence with a pragmatic and business-oriented mindset, and you take ownership of quality, deadlines and continuous improvement. As a leader, you are clear, inclusive and able to develop a small central team while influencing a broader finance community. You communicate effectively with senior stakeholders and are motivated by contributing to a company in transformation.

Ideally you have
  • MSc degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field
  • 10+ years of experience in group accounting, consolidation and external reporting, preferably in an international industrial or project-driven environment
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS, financial accounting, consolidation and reporting requirements
  • Experience from a senior finance role, such as Group Controller, Head of Group Reporting, Chief Accountant or similar
  • Experience in business controlling, performance analysis and decision support
  • Proven ability to develop reporting processes, closing cycles, governance and finance systems
  • Experience with group reporting and consolidation tools, preferably Hyperion HFM, SAP and BI tools
  • Experience with external audit, internal control and compliance matters
  • Capital markets experience, such as bond reporting, listings or IPO readiness, is advantageous
  • Fluent in English; Swedish is an advantage
