Job description

Launch your career in Marketing Technology consulting

We're looking for soon-to-be graduates who want to make a real business impact through marketing technology. The Columbia Road Associate Program is a one-year, part-time trainee program designed to offer hands-on experience in client work and support professional growth. You'll work side by side with experienced consultants, solving real-life business problems using modern technologies - and having fun while doing it.

Who We Are

Columbia Road was founded in 2016 to challenge the old ways of doing digital business. Our mission is to help companies sell better in the digital era. We focus on measurable results - not just building IT systems - using a mix of software development, design, marketing, strategy, and data engineering.

We're a community-led company, built on trust, transparency, and a low hierarchy. Everyone here has a voice in company-wide decisions. Diversity, equity, and inclusion are at the heart of who we are. We're proud of our 4.6/5 rating on Glassdoor - and always looking to do even better.

What You'll Do

As a Marketing Technology Associate, you'll be at the intersection of marketing and technology, working on projects that improve our clients' customer engagement. Your responsibilities may include:

  1. Implementing and optimising marketing automation activities
  2. Setting up analytics and tagging frameworks
  3. Enhancing clients' digital marketing campaigns
  4. Customer Journey, Buyer Persona mapping and Customer Research
  5. Content Creation

You'll collaborate closely with developers, designers, fellow marketers, engaging directly with client teams. The work is hands-on and you'll be given real responsibility from day one, with the support of a senior team to guide your growth.

Requirements

This program is for you if:

  • You're a soon-to-be graduate student with some industry experience from projects or part-time work in marketing-related activities such as Marketing Automation, CRM, Digital Marketing or Analytics
  • You're curious, motivated, and eager to grow professionally
  • You approach problems analytically and want to understand the business impact of your work
  • You're comfortable communicating your ideas and working in agile teams
  • You're not afraid to present your thoughts and try out new ways of working
  • You enjoy fast-paced environments and want to learn by doing
  • You have professional working proficiency in both English and Swedish

In addition, you might have hands-on experience in some of these technologies:

  • Marketing Automation platforms (e.g. Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Hubspot, Marketo, CustomerIO)
  • CRM tools (e.g. Salesforce, HubSpot, Pipedrive, MS Dynamics)
  • Experience in utilising customer data from various sources (CRM, CDP, DMP)
  • Digital advertising understanding (e.g. Google Ads, Facebook Ads Manager, LinkedIn)
  • Web analytics and communicating data insights (e.g. Google Analytics, Google Data Studio, Tableau, Matomo, Piwik PRO)
  • SEO, content and technical
  • Tag management (e.g., Google Tag Manager, Tealium)
  • CRO
  • A/B testing
  • Service, graphic, and/or UX/UI design
  • Copywriting

We don't expect you to have years and years of experience - lots of positive energy and a "getting things done" attitude are the winning combination.

Make sure you showcase your experience and knowledge as clearly as possible in your application, resume and attachments. We value examples and results from previous projects, and we'd love to know what concrete marketing tools you used to get those results.
