Job summary

SEB in Stockholm is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to strengthen our data platform. You will work in an agile Scrum team in an SRE‑like role, contributing to scalable, secure and reliable data solutions during our cloud transformation.

The role involves cross‑country collaboration with Sweden and Lithuania. You will onboard new tooling to our stack with security and automation in mind, improve observability, automation and CI/CD pipelines, and help migrate applications to the cloud.

Qualifications

• Experience of Linux environments in a professional setting.
• Proficiency with scripting (bash and/or Python).
• Strong knowledge of Git for version control.
• Hands-on DevOps/SRE mindset and practices.

Our tribe Data and Analytics leads all parts of SEB in becoming a data‑driven company, and we are looking for a Site Reliability Engineer to strengthen our team in Stockholm working in the area of large‑scale data solutions.

About the job

We are an agile department working on building a scalable, sustainable and reliable data platform to provide an exceptional experience for our customers. Our teams are cross‑country, working in both Sweden and Lithuania. You will be working in an agile Scrum team in an SRE‑like role. Currently, we are in the cloud transformation process. There will be a lot of activities to migrate to the cloud as well as to onboard new applications.

Together with your colleagues you will be responsible for onboarding new tooling to our stack, everything with security and automation in mind. You will have the opportunity to broaden your competence and will be given a generous amount of time for your own ideas and projects. Keep in mind that this should cover all aspects of application lifecycle items.

In order to thrive here you should be interested in DevOps engineering and enjoy finding creative solutions to complex problems. If you are analytical, curious and have a passion for discovering new ways of working, you will enjoy it here.

To thrive in this role, we believe you have:

• Experience working in Linux environments.
• Experience with OpenShift on prem.
• Programming and scripting skills (e.g. bash, python).
• Experience with container orchestration (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift) and Terraform.
• An automation, DevOps, SRE mindset.
• Version control systems (e.g. Git).
• Database knowledge (e.g. SQL, NoSQL).
• Collaboration skills and a high sense of responsibility. We are team‑based, and the ability to share knowledge and experience is fundamental.

Nice‑to‑have

• Experience with Validio.
• Experience with monitoring, metrics and log‑management systems (e.g. Zabbix, Grafana, Splunk).
• Knowledge of authentication and authorization services (e.g. EntraID, LDAP, OAuth 2.0).
• Automation and configuration management systems (e.g. Ansible, Terraform, Chef).
• Cloud technologies.
• CI/CD tools, such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins.
