Job summary

Midsummer AB (publ) is seeking a Development Engineer to join our innovation team. You will drive development, testing, qualification and certification activities to ensure our products meet market and sustainability requirements.

You will evaluate materials, plan and analyze testing, drive improvements from idea to implementation, and coordinate certifications while maintaining technical documentation and collaborating with suppliers, production and sales.

Qualifications

• Experience in a technical role with exposure to materials, testing or related areas.
• University degree in a relevant materials field.
• Fluent English, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and qualify new materials, suppliers and product solutions.
• Plan, perform and analyse testing to support product development, certification and quality improvements.
• Drive material, product and process improvements from idea through implementation.
• Coordinate product certifications and ensure compliance with standards and sustainability requirements.
• Contribute to sustainability initiatives and environmental documentation.
• Maintain technical documentation, including certificates and data sheets.
• Support production with troubleshooting, root cause analysis and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with suppliers, purchasing, innovation, production and external partners.
• Support sales with technical expertise and product-related questions.
